The Inner Awakening Writing Center is committed to helping those who would like to either start journaling or deepen their existing journaling practice awaken their intuition and creativity. Techniques and exercises at Inner Awakening are designed to help participants let go of self-doubt, worry, fear and limiting identifications to encourage their soul or truest self to emerge onto paper. As this higher self is revealed through journaling, we work from a place of inner guidance and learn to feel, process and make decisions based on intuition. In this process, we become our own counselor and problem-solver, relying on our intuitive nature to find lasting solutions.

melissa-grace-hoonMeera is a life skills counselor and journalist who reported on human rights abuses across the globe, including Vietnam, South Africa and Mexico, before becoming an anti-human trafficking specialist in Los Angeles, Sacramento and New York, where she began facilitating Writing to Heal workshops to survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence. Her clients’ tremendous growth and resiliency inspired her dedication to helping people from all walks of life heal and grow by awakening their potential through journaling. Meera is the Director of the Writing and Consciousness Academy at Ananda Laurelwood.
